This extra thick coated webbing is made of the synthetic material PVC (Polyvinyl chloride) and is more durable, stronger, and easier to clean and maintain than common textile webbing. This can be used as a cheaper alternative to leather as it shares many of the positive properties of leather. It is abrasion resistant, 100% water and bacteria resistant, and does not stretch. The webbing is favoured for dog collars, leashes, horse halters and bridles. The opaque colours tend to hold colour significantly longer than the fluorescent colours. In general, the deeper the shade of the hue, the longer it will last.
