What is heat shrink tubing

This strong and flexible heat shrink tubing can be used as a finish for cord ends, accessories and cables. Heat shrink tubing can be used professionally to protect, bundle, insulate, strengthen and secure electrical connections such as wires and cables. A heat shrink tubing is often used to neatly finish a metal rope clamp.

Shrink tubing application

The thin walled heat shrink tubing is made from polyolefin, and is therefore extra strong.The tubing is water repellent, insulating, tear resistant, anti-static, durable and environmentally friendly and protects against wear, corrosion and chemicals Supplied per 50 cm piece.

Use

Place the tube over the rope or accessory and heat to shrink the material. The shrink ratio is 2:1 and the material will shrink at a temperature of > 90 degrees. It is a polyolefin sleeving and therefore extra strong. The material is flame retardant and self extinguishing.
